High demand on healthcare systems creates delays in patient support. People with urgent but non-emergency concerns had no reliable, immediate guide — leading to unnecessary ER visits and underuse of appropriate resources.
My Role
Designed the full product: onboarding, AI conversation UI, symptom checker, appointment booking, medication reminders, and the handoff to human support.
What I Found
Interviews with 10 patients revealed a key behavioural pattern: people searched symptoms on Google before calling a doctor, but mistrusted the results
They wanted a trusted, conversational guide — not bare search results
The Solution
Built 'MediAssist' around a conversational AI interface with quick-suggestion chips for common symptoms, clear escalation to human doctors, and seamless appointment scheduling — all in one app.
