01

Problem & context

The challenge

Patients abandoned the app mid-flow due to complex booking steps, unclear doctor availability, and anxiety around accessing sensitive medical data. Trust and privacy were existential UX concerns.

02

Role & responsibilities

What I owned

Conducted user research with 8 patients and 3 doctors. Led product design from research to final handoff — including all flows for booking, record access, and notifications.

Research & insights

What I found

01

Patient interviews highlighted: 'I never know if my appointment is confirmed.' The key insight: the absence of clear confirmation states was driving abandonment — not the number of steps

04

Outcome & impact

The solution

Designed an intuitive booking experience with persistent confirmation states at every step. Clear navigation, structured record hierarchy, and privacy-focused patterns restored user confidence throughout.
